ORDERLY STRUCTURE

You should be able to concentrate at your desk. Whether you use your study as a permanent home office or only occasionally for administrative tasks such as the yearly tax return, if your study is easy on the eye without providing any distractions, even bothersome duties are performed more easily. A CABINET with its impressive storage capacity helps to create order by making stacks of folders, suspension files and equipment such as printer, scanner and fax machine disappear. Its calm, plain surfaces give the room an uncluttered feel.

A HOME OFFICE WITH STYLE

This home office demanded a door decor that was low-key, yet not boring. The solution was to choose a door type suitable for papering and apply a wallpaper of the client's choice. Contrasting nicely with the warm hues of the wooden floor and the carpet, the white frames and the white ceiling track add a fresh accent to the doors. The interior was adapted precisely to the requirements of the office, with shelving to accommodate files and made-to measure pull-out units so that everything has its place. The drawer fronts pick out the cream shade of the wallpaper.

CDs are beautiful - but not always nice to look at. CABINET offers a choice of two drawer inserts to deal with the typical office clutter of video and audio CDs (bottom left). The depicted room also serves as a TV room. When it is used as a study, the TV disappears behind the sliding door (bottom right).

MAKE EFFICIENT USE OF ROOM SECTIONS AND ALCOVES

If there isn't a whole room available for your desk but only part of a room or even just an alcove, the demands made on functionality increase: CABINET will help you make efficient use even of a space under a roof slope for all your documentation and office equipment. The flexible range of units and accessories also makes it possible to incorporate a workspace seamlessly into built-in cupboards. By closing the cupboard fronts, the "office" simply disappears when you have finished working.

In the left-hand picture below, two CABINET fronts meet at a corner. One divides hall from living room, while the other fronts a working space equipped with vast amounts of shelving. Ceiling panels with spots provide illumination for both.

Behind the sliding doors featuring orange glass and "Florida" weave, a PC workstation has been integrated into the built-in cupboards (bottom right): The computer sits on a compartment shelf, the keyboard on a pull-out shelf.

CABINET TIP

For pieces of equipment used frequently but not all the time, such as the printer, scanner or fax machine, integrated pull-out shelves are the ideal solution. There is then no need for irritating small tables and everything disappears behind the cupboard door when not needed. The location of the pull-out shelves is entirely up to you; they can be placed wherever they are in easy reach from the desk and can be operated from your chair. Even filling up the paper tray and replacing print cartridges or checking the connections becomes easy, because thanks to the pull-out shelves the devices are accessible from all sides. And you don't need to worry about the weight of a printer or all-in-one device: Our 1 metre wide pull-out shelf can carry a load of up to 30 kilograms.
