BATHROOM

IMPRESSIONS

In the bathroom, functionality and aesthetics come together. Given the dimensions of most bathrooms, there is hardly any room for experiments. What you need is a room solution that focuses on the essentials. With its freely selectable design options, a CABINET allows for individuality while offering as much storage space in its interior as your bathroom will allow.

REFRESHING CLARITY

MEDITATIVE-ORIENTAL STYLE

In the meditative-oriental style of this bathroom, excessively clinical cupboard fronts would be out of place. A surface made from oiled bamboo was therefore chosen here. When closed, the doors frame the tiled centre console behind the bath. When open, they allow access to the dressing area.

BEAUTIFUL & PRACTICAL

Beautiful and practical: Where space is at a premium, a hinged door - to a room or a cupboard - can easily become an obstacle. With a sliding door, you have no dead corner. And a made-to-measure, half-height built-in cupboard with sliding doors also avoids the hazard of doors jutting into the space above the toilet and bidet.

In the foreground above: The room divider has been equipped with two different door surfaces: the side facing the bathroom area with mirrors in order to create an illusion of space and the side facing the bedroom, which you cannot see in the picture, with walnut veneer. In the background: a CABINET built-in cupboard with doors and drawer fronts in satined glass.

The made-to-measure cupboard with internal lighting and doors made from translucent glass stretches across the entire length of the bathroom and fits snugly under the roof slope (right).

CABINET TIP

For furniture materials, the bathroom is the "ultimate test": Not all can withstand steam and splashes of water. If the cupboard is to be located in close proximity to the washbasin, bathtub or shower, we recommend primarily the use of glass and mirrored surfaces. CABINET offers these in a wide range of colours and surface textures, from fluted coloured glass to satined mirrors with floral patterns. Away from water sources, oiled bamboo surfaces make a striking alternative.
